Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama is a branch of the
Ramakrishna Mutt and Mission
, centered at
. It concentrates on services in the medical and educational sectors. The Mutt centre is engaged in cultural, religious and spiritual activities according to the principles set out by Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Holy Mother Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.
Thousands of devotees attend the religious and cultural activities held round the year in the Mutt premises. The tithi pujas are offered according to the Vishuddha Siddhanta Panjika and the schedule of Belur Mutt. Weekly sermons on the Gospel of Ramakrishna are conducted at the Mutt premises every Sunday morning.
There is a temple here that sports a combination of various styles of architecture. A nursing school and library have also been established here.
