Rajampet




Rajampet is a taluk headquarters town located near Tallapaka in the Cuddapah District of Andhra Pradesh. Situated at a distance of around 48 km from Cuddapah, this place is renowned for rich reserves of clay deposits which are used to make stone implements. A portion of Sri Venkateswara National Park, located at a distance of 10 km from Tirupati, lies in Rajampet. The Cheyyur River, a tributary of the Pennar River, flows through this village. Masjid-e-Azam, Chand Phira Gumbadh, Gandikota Fort, Pushpagiri Temple Complex and Siddheswaraswamy Temple are the nearby tourist destinations. Forest rest houses at Rajampet are available for lodging. Tirupati Airport is the closest airport. Nandalur Railway Station and Razampeta Railway Station are the nearest railway stations.
