Raja Rajeshvari Devi Temple




Raja Rajeshvari Devi Temple, associated with the Datta Peetham, is located at Vijayawada. This highly honored shrine was constructed under the guidance of Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda.

The temple tower is first of its kind in India built in the shape of Sumeru Sri Chakra. There are two chambers known as Antaraalaya and Garbhaalaya. The three walls of the temple are adorned with Shat Chakras, Nava Avarana Chakras and Nava Durga idols. Granite stone blocks are used in the sanctum sanctorum. The prayer hall of the temple contains a stage where religious discourses and bhajans are arranged on a regular basis. The back wall of the stage is embossed with the images of Lord Dattatreya and Lord Ganesh.
