Raja Ki Chhatri




Raja Ki Chhatri, a highly renowned monument, is located on the banks of the Tapti River, in Burhanpur District of Madhya Pradesh. It is about 7 km from Burhanpur.

This memorial was built by the order of Aurangzeb in honor of Raja Jai Singh, the Commander of the Mughal force in Deccan. Raja Jai Singh died while returning from the Deccan at Burhanpur.

Some of the nearby attractions include Ahukhana Monument, Royal Hammam, historical Gurdwara and the memorial of Dargah-E-Hakimi.

Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport and Burhanpur Railway Station are the nearby airport and railway station.
