Puttige Mutt is in
Udupi District,
Karnataka. The main branch of this mutt is in a village by name Puttige. An idol of Vithal with Rukmini and Satvabhama, gifted to the first pontiff Sri Upendra Tirtha by Acharya Madhva, is worshipped here. The idol has a smiling face with a conch in one hand. The other hand showing abhaya mudra is placed on the waist. Sri Sugunendra Tirtha is the present pontiff.
