Puthalam Festival is a popular event of
Mahe in
Pondicherry. It generally falls during the Malayalam month of Kumbham (February - March), and lasts for four days.
Theyyam, a ritualistic dance of North Kerala, is the major attraction of this festival. It is held at Puthalam Sree Bhagavathy Temple, which is an ancient shrine.
