Purple Valley Yoga Centre is the perfect place for a yoga holiday on the western coast of India, in North Goa. It has the option of casual non-residential drop-in classes and a residential retreat. The center is best suited for beginners as well as for serious yoga students. The Yoga Centre has two locations in Goa. The first location is the Purple Valley Drop-In Centre and the other is Purple Valley Retreat.
Purple Valley Drop-In Centre conducts yoga classes every day in a week, in a friendly environment. Besides Ashtanga Yoga, it teaches Hatha, Pranayama, Chi Gung (a genesis of Chinese martial arts) and meditation. The center also offers 3 or 4 drop-in classes. The classes are taken by experienced top-class international teachers. Yoga teacher training course is also offered here. Even though the accommodations are not offered directly, arrangements are made for it.
Just 3 km away from the drop-in center, the Purple Valley Retreat is at Assagao. A purpose-built ‘shala,’ which accommodates 40 students, at the bottom of a private valley (among teak trees, palms and banana trees) is a prime attraction here. This site is calm and best suited for meditation. Residential accommodation for 30 students is available.
