Purnagiri Fair is a prominent festive occasion of
Champawat District in
Uttaranchal. It is held at Purnagiri about 20 km from
Tanakpur on the banks of
Kali River. Purnagiri Fair, organized during the auspicious occasion of Navratras, starts from the day of Vishuwat Sankranti and continues for about 40 days. Thousands of devotees throng to the site of celebration to worship the Goddess Purnagiri. Apart from the religious rites, there are also various activities pertaining to entertainment.
