Punyagiri Fair




Punyagiri Fair is a prominent fair held in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. The fair is celebrated at the Punyagiri Temple, situated on the top of a mountain on the right bank of Kali River. It is about 20 km from Tanakpur. The fair which starts from Vishuwat Sankranti lasts for 40 days. Punyagiri Fair is regarded as the longest fair celebrated in the Kumaon region.
