Prithu Kund

Prithu Kund is a lake located at Antardvipa, one among the nine islands of Navadvipa. The lake was dug by Prithu Maharaja and is also known as Ballal Dighi.

During the reign of King Laksman Sena, he extended the lake and gave the name as Ballal Dighi (after his father King Ballal Sena). Srila Jayadeva Gosvami composed the Dasavatara Stotram at this place. There are remains of Laksman Sen’s old palace nearby.
