Presidency College of
Kolkata is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in India. It was initially known as the Hindu College. The college was established on January 20, 1817.
Courses are offered in English, Bengali, Hindi, History, Philosophy, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Botany, and Zoology. Apart from the basic studies, extra-curricular activities including quizzes, debates, dramatics, music, and dance are also conducted.
Hostel facilities with modern amenities are available for students. The school also has a spacious playground, auditorium, and an executive meeting room.
