Pravadayanar is a small river in
Karaikal District of
Pondicherry. It is also known by the name Puravadaiyanar. This river is a branch of the Kudamurutti River, which flows through
Tamil Nadu.
Pravadayanar mainly flows through Tirumalairayanpattinam and finally drains into the Bay of Bengal south of Melvanjiyur. The river traverses a distance of 5 km. It is an important source of water for the irrigation projects in the district.
