Porattu is a performing art in Kerala. It is the satirical representation of everyday life and is presented in pageantry during festive occasions. As this is totally free of ritualistic elements, it has independent existence. This art form is alos executed as a part of the ritualistic dramas like Padayani, kendronpattu, and Poorakali.
Poratti Kali is famous in parts of Palakkad and Kasargod.
