Pokhu

Pokhu is a folk god of the Har-Ki-Doon Valley. He was the deputy of Karna and an attendant of Lord Shiva. He is also known as Pokhu Veer. Pokhu is said to be terrible and unrelenting in punishing his enemies. Pokhu’s face horrifies the onlookers. For that reason his chamber is installed behind the shivling. Afamous temple dedicated to Pokhu is located in Naitwar, Uttarkashi District.
