Pitamahal Dam is located in
Sundargarh District and is built across
Brahmani River, the second largest river in
Orissa. It is about 16 km from
Rourkela.
Constructed in 1976, the water in this dam is used mainly for irrigation purposes. The area around the dam site is perfect for picnicking.
