Piplia




Piplia, one of the charming villages in the Narmada Valley, is located midway between Mandleshwar and Barwah, in Khargone District. Khargone is 54 km south-west and Mandleshwar is 14 km west.

The sacred river Narmada imparts holiness to this region. The samadhi of Singaji Maharaj is situated in this village. Omkareshwar Dam and Omkareshwar Shivlinga Temple at Barwah, Maheshwar and Upper Beda Dam at Nemit are the major tourist spots nearby.

Every year a large fair is held here on the occasion of Sharad Purnima.

Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport and Khandwa Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
