Phobrang




Perched at an altitude of about 14,812 ft above sea level, Phobrang is a small settlement in Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir. This village, which forms the link between Ladakh and Tibet, falls in Changthang sub-division of Leh. It is about 18 km from Muglib. Phobrang is surrounded by Chorkongma in the east, Lukung in the south, Heweitan in the north and Muglib in the west. Bahu Nullah is a nearby attraction. Phobrang can be reached from Shyok. The journey through the Marsimik La towards Phobrang, offers one the chance of relishing the charming beauty of the mountains, including the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges, crowned with snow.
