Phalut




Phalut is one of the loftiest peaks which lies on the Singalia Ridge, in Darjeeling District of West Bengal. Situated at an altitude of 3,621 m above sea level, it is about 21 km from Sandakphu and 6 km from Molley.

Phalut is famous as the tri-junction of Nepal, Sikkim and West Bengal. Mt Kanchanjunga can be viewed very closer from here.

Phalut is also a well known trekking route. It is a trekking settlement for those who are on their way to Sandakphu from Darjeeling.

Phalut can be approached from Gorkhey (16 km) by foot. By road, Phalut is about 25 km away from Rimbik.
