The signature dish of Andhra Pradesh cuisine is Pesarattu. It is made with green gram flour with onions, chillies and cumin seeds. This soft, thin, lentil dosa having filling of Upma, is very popular with the locals. Andhra Pesarattu, a whole-meal pancake, with ginger chutney is served as Andhra special breakfast in Indian restaurants.
