Perne



Perne in Kasargod District is famous for the Muchilottu Kavu, one of the 18 temples of Muchilottu Bhagavathi. Pooram festival held in the month of Meenam is a major draw. The mass marriage during the festival is a unique feature of this temple.

Sree Parthasarathi Temple (at Munjankavu), Ananthapuram, Madwa and Mangalpady are some nearby spots worth visiting.

Perne lies on the Kumbla–Bedadka route, about 5 km east of Kumbla. Kumbla Railway Station, the nearest railhead, is on the Kasargod-Mangalore rail route.
