Perinkulam Ratholsavam is a carnival celebrated at Perinkulam, about 3 km from
Alathur, in
Palakkad District. This annual festival is conducted in association with the four temples that are dedicated to
Lord Shiva,
Krishna, Varadaraja and
Goddess Lakshmi during Masi Magam.
The last two days of the ten-day festival are very attractive. On these days, three magnificently decorated chariots are drawn around the temple.
