Percussive Arts Centre is a well-known organization in
Bangalore,
Karnataka. It was founded in 1981 by Venkataram in memory of Palghat Mani Iyer, a great exponent of the south Indian percussion instrument. It aims to promote percussive arts among laymen and scholars. To attain its objective, the center arranges programs, newsletters, workshops and paper, and award presentations.
Training in a variety of percussion instruments is offered here. The students of the arts center have staged many unique programs, which has been appreciated by public and art enthusiasts.
