Perantalapalli village lies at Velairpadu Mandal in
Khammam District. It is about 80 km from Bhandrachalam. The region around the village is covered by thick forest and is inhabited by tribal people. A saint named Sri Swamy Balananda Yogi visited this place during the early decades of 20th century and made a great effort for its development and for bettering the living standards of the tribes. Today, the village is inhabited by about 30 tribal families. An
ashram is built here in the name of the saint.
The
Papi Hills, the waterfalls at Munivaatam and the serene atmosphere make it a special venue for tourists. Two mountains which were named after Vali and Sugreeva, the monkey kings of
Ramayana, are about 3 km away from Perantalapalli.
