Peldo is a small settlement in the lower
Ladakh region of
Leh District,
Jammu and Kashmir. Located at a height above 4,000 m, it is a major trekking base on the Tso Moriri –
Leh route. This place is also home to migratory birds such as the black necked crane.
Tso Morari Lake, one of the largest lakes in the Ladakh region is a nearby attraction.
Peldo can be approached from Karzok.
