Peharsar

Peharsar is a small rustic village located around 30 km from Bharatpur. The village is said to have once been a prominent commercial centre. Legends say that this village was captured by two generals of Sultan Mahmud within three hours and hence the name Peharsar - pehar means 'a three-hour period' and sar means 'victory.' The rustic lifestyle and ambience makes this village a popular tourist destination. It has the beautiful Chandra Mahal Haveli built by rich Muslim nobles in the 1850's, now converted into a heritage hotel.

Peharsar is 150 km from Jaipur. Nearest airport Agra is 56 km from Bharatpur. Regular services connect Bharatpur with other parts of the state.
