Peeru is an idyllic hill station located at a distance of 4 km from
Peermade and 1 km from
Kuttikkanam in
Idukki District. The place is a true haven for trekkers and picnickers. The hill is named after Peer Mohammed, a Sufi saint who spent his last days here.
The mausoleum of the saint, the summer palace of the royal family and the residence of the Diwan are some of the spots worth visiting in the neighborhood.
