Payammel

Payammel is a small settlement near Irinjalakuda in Thrissur District of Kerala. It lies around 40 km from Thrissur, the district headquarters.

Payammel is famous for an old temple, Payammel Temple, devoted to Shatrughna. The temple forms an important part of the Nalambalam Yatra - a pilgrimage conducted during Karkidakam.

Irinjalakuda Railway Station serves this area. Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport.
