Pavana Sarovara

Pavana Sarovara is a sacred lake situated at the bottom of Nandisvara Hill in Nandgaon, Mathura District. This lake is believed to be one of the favorite lakes of Lord Krishna. The literal meaning of the word 'pavana' is ‘something that purifies’. Devotees believe that one can accomplish all one's desires by taking a bath at Pavana Sarovara. The famous Narasimhadeva Temple and Nandagram Temple are easily accessible from here. Nandgaon Railway Station (50 km from Vrindavan) and Agra Civil Enclaves are the major access points.
