Pasurnathar Temple is one of the 275 Shivasthalams in Tamil Nadu. It is located at Tiruppasur, approximately 7 km away from Tiruvallur. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Pasurnathar. Goddess Pasupathinayagi is also worshipped here. Saints Sambandar and Appar is said to have contributed pathigams in favour of the lord Pasurnathar. The nearest travel base is Chennai, about 42 km from Tiruvallur.
