Situated within the precincts of the Yameshwar Temple, Paschimeshwar Temple was built in a similar fashion on the lines of Parasurameshwar group of temples. The temple honours Lord Shiva
and his consort, Goddess Parvati
. Of the images, the idols of Parvati, Ganesh
are really beautiful. Goddess Parvati, Shiva's consort, is presented in standing posture holding a vase, a crooked staff, a rosary and a lotus held in her four arms, with her mount, the lion at her side. The images of parsvadevatas are also worth seeing.
The temple is 5 km from the city center. Bhubaneswar is easily accessible from any part of India by road, rail and air.
