Paschimeshwar Temple

Situated within the precincts of the Yameshwar Temple, Paschimeshwar Temple was built in a similar fashion on the lines of Parasurameshwar group of temples. The temple honours Lord Shiva and his consort, Goddess Parvati. Of the images, the idols of Parvati, Ganesh and Kartikeya are really beautiful. Goddess Parvati, Shiva's consort, is presented in standing posture holding a vase, a crooked staff, a rosary and a lotus held in her four arms, with her mount, the lion at her side. The images of parsvadevatas are also worth seeing.

The temple is 5 km from the city center. Bhubaneswar is easily accessible from any part of India by road, rail and air.
