Parumala Church is located at
Parumala in
Pathanamthitta District of
Kerala. It is the tomb church of Mor Gregorios Geevarghese Chathuruthil (Parumala Kochu Thirumeni), the only declared saint of Malankara.
Parumala Perunal (Orma Perunal), the main festival of the church, is held in the month of November. The festivities are usually held on the first and second day of the month. Thousands of devotees from far-off places gather here during this occasion. Bible classes, meditation and various prayers are conducted.
Parumala lies 11 km from Thiruvalla, on the shores of the Pampa River. Thiruvalla Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
