Parsons Valley is located in the famous Mukkurthi Peak and National Park near Ooty in Nilgiris District. It offers a wonderful experience for trekkers, naturalists and wildlife enthusiasts. One can find here many trekking teams engaged in traversing the beautiful slopes of the valley and the Mukurthi Peak and surrounding areas. Parsons Valley acts as a base camp, from where it is possible to trek to various points in the Western Ghats. The best trekking season is during April-June and September-December.

Bandipur in Karnataka, after passing a stretch of forests till Parsons Valley. Ooty is well connected to other cities and towns by road and rail. The nearest airport is at Coimbatore, 105 km from Ooty.
