Parikshit Point




Parikshit Point is at 2 km further inside the Amboli Garden in Amboli village of Sindhudurg District. It is the topmost point of nearby Sahyadri, where a tower named ‘Parikshit Point’ has been erected. This point offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding rich forests and also the valleys below, and the Konkan area. This area can be approached by buses from Vengurla, Sawantwadi, Ratnagiri, and Belgaum. Taxis and rickshaws are also available. The nearest railway station is at Sawantwadi on the Konkan Railway and the closest airport is at Belgaum (64 km).
