Parayan Thullal is a traditional dance of Kerala
. It is the slowest in tempo, with slow graceful elegant steps and movements. The dance usually stands erect and explains the meaning of the songs by hand gestures. The make-up of the dancer is simple except for an ornamental headgear and a red flowery clothe round his waist. The dancer in Parayan Thullal smears the body with charcoal paste.
