Paravanar




The Paravanar is a river rising from Vridhachalam taluk in Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu. It is also known as Uppanar. The river flows between Cuddalore and Chidambaram taluks and turns northwards to fall into the Bay of Bengal, by the mouth of Gadilam River. The river has saline water and is a major center of fishing.
