Parasnath Temple




Parasnath Temple, positioned on the 4000 ft high Parasnath hill and eastern border of Hazaribagh plateau, is one of the famous Jain temples in Jharkhand. Dedicated to the 23rd Tirthankar Parasnath, the temple is constructed in the medieval architectural style. According to local myth, it is the place where Parasnath achieved nirvana. This marble temple with four doorways hold many festivals attended by thousands of devotees. Devotees have to climb the hill to access the temple.

Hazaribagh is 93 km from Ranchi and situated at a height of 2,019 ft above sea level. The nearest airport is at Ranchi. Closest railhead is Koderma (59 km). There are bus services from Ranchi to Hazaribagh.
