Parappanangadi

Parappanangadi is a small town in Malappuram District of Kerala. It lies about 7 km west of Chemmad and 30 km south of Kozhikode.

The place is among the important fishing centers of the district. A Fisheries Development project is functioning here. Hindustan Metals (P) Limited is the main steel mill in the town.

Kadalundi Nagarm, where the Kadalundi River flows into the Arabian Sea, is 10 km north of Parappanangadi. Malappuram Mosque (7 km away), Iravimangalam Vishnu Temple and Poonkudi Mana are easily accessible from here.

Parappanangadi Railway Station, on the Tirur-Feroke rail route, is the local railhead. Calicut Airport is the nearest airport.
