Pantu




Pantu is a charming village situated 10 km from Sarpudyar in Pithoragarh District. It lies at an altitude of about 2,100 m on the Ralam Valley-Birje Ganga Pass trek route. River Gori flows close by. Pantu nestles among thick forests of rhododendron, meadows and birch. The views from here are magnificent with peaks such as Rajrambha, Chaudhara, Nanda Devi and Suitilla. Dumar, Munsiyari, Lilam, Rargari and Martoli are nearby interesting destinations. It is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available.

The nearest airport is Pant Nagar Airport and the nearest railway station is at Kathgodam.
