Panimura is a small village situated about 40 km from Baragarh in Orissa. It was the core of numerous activities during the freedom movement. The village was committed to Khadi (hand made cloth) and freedom movement of Mahatma Gandhi. The people in this village still cut thread and wear Khadi and boasts of believing and preaching the principles of Gandhiji - ‘Ahimsa’ and ‘Satya’. The villagers assemble every evening to chant patriotic songs hymns of Gandhiji.
