Pandharkawada is a taluk headquarters town situated on the National Highway 7, about 17 km north of Bori, in Yavatmal District. It is 15 km south of Karanji and about 31 km south-west of Maregaon. Adilabad in Andhra Pradesh is 41 km south.

Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary and Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary cater to wildlife enthusiasts in the district. Chintamani of Kalamb, Shri Ranganath Swami Temple at Wani and Sahastrakund Waterfalls are other tourist and pilgrim centers.

Pandharkawada Bus Station has regular buses to all major neighboring cities and towns.
