Palachak Deota is located nine km from Rajgundha, in the Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. It lies at an elevation of about 3,600 m above sea level, on the Manali - Bir trek route in
Kangra Valley. The village is surrounded by fir, pine and deodar trees and meadows. Uhl River, a tributary of the Beas River, flows through the village.
Palachak Deota provides excellent views of the Kangra valley, Manimahesh Kailash Peak and the Thamsar Peak. It is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available.
