Pakkapuresar Temple is situated at Achirupakkam in
Kanchipuram District. The temple is one of the 275
Shivasthalams in
Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity here is Lord Pakkapuresar (
Shiva). There is also a worship place for Goddess Sundaranayagi. The Sthala
Teertham is Deva teertham and the Sthala Vriksham (sacred tree) is Konrai Maram. Sage Sambandar is said to have praised the lord through his pathigams.
