Pagadi




Pagadi is the symbolic turban worn by Sikh men. It is mandatory for the Sikh male with long uncut hair, to tie a Pagadi. Pagadi is also worn by non Sikhs in Maharashtra and Rajasthan.There are many varied styles of Pagadi. Earlier Pagadi had to be manually tied to form a turban. Nowadays, colorful ready made turbans, stitched like hats, are available.
