Padmavati Devi Temple




Padmavati Devi Temple, also known as Badi Devi Temple, is a magnificent shrine situated at Panna, in Madhya Pradesh. It is located on the north-west corner near Kilkila River and it is believed to be an ancient shrine. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Padmavati.

A popular belief among the people is that, the goddess will always protect the prosperity and happiness of Panna. Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundela accepts Goddess Padmavati as his Raj Lakshmi although their kuldevata is Vindhyavasani.

The annual Navratri festival, celebrated here, is a major draw attended by thousands of devotees from far and near.
