Padmanabhaswamy Temple




The Padmanabhaswamy Temple at Chennai in Tamil Nadu is a replica of the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The deity of this temple is Lord Padmanabhaswamy, Lord Vishnu residing on the holy serpent Anantha. He is depicted to be offering worship to Lord Shiva in the form of the Shivlinga. The temple also has a shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesh. The Navagrahas (the nine planets of the Solar System) are also worshipped here.
