Padikkasalitha Nathar Temple is situated at Arisirkaraiputtur, in
Thanjavur District. This shiva sthalam is about 8 km south-east of
Kumbakonam. The temple was built at an elevation by Kochengannan Cholan. It was renovated during the reign of Raja Raja Chola I. There is also a separate worship place for Goddess Azhakambikai. The sthala teertham is Arisilaru. Saints
Sambandar, Appar and Sundarar have contributed pathigams praising Lord Swarnapureeswarar.
