Padalam

Padalam of Kanchipuram District lies on the rail route between Madurantakam and Chengalpattu. The UNESCO Certified World Heritage site, Mahabalipuram is 24 km east. Karunkuzhi, on the National Highway 45, is 6 km south.

Tirukkalukundram is a sacred spot about 12 km away. Madurantakam Temple, Shiva Temple at Cheyyur, Vaikuntha Perumal Temple at Uttiramerur and Adi Parasakthi Temple at Melmaruvathur are some of the temples that can be reached from Padalam. Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary and Karikili Bird Sanctuary are nearby.
