It is an old temple which has been renovated recently. The entire temple is surrounded by a Chuttambalam and its walls are exquisitely decorated with paintings and carvings.

Neeranjanam, Ellu Deepam, Muzhukappu and Chuttu Vilakku are some of the main offerings in the temple. The annual festival is celebrated here in April.

The temple is situated about 35 km Thiruvananthapuram Central Bus Station.
