A popular side dish of Kerala, Pachadi is a thick sauce prepared with sugar, yoghurt, grated coconut and mustard seeds. A wide range of spices including green and red chillies are added for flavor.

Popular of Pachadi varieties are Coconut Pachadi, Tomato Pachadi, Vendaikkai (Okra) Pachadi, Mango Pachadi, Pumpkin Pachadi and Cucumber Pachadi.
