Paarkeeswarar Temple




Paarkeeswarar Temple lies on the banks of the Vegavathy River, in Kanchipuram. The deity of the temple is Paarkeeswarar. This sacred place is located near serene fields. There is an idol of Lord Shiva installed by Sage Brigu. The idols of God SakthiVinayak, Mayilvagananar (Lord Muruga), the Sun God, nine holy planets, Thanigai Vinayaka, Lord Muruga with his consorts Valli and Theivanai, Agatheeswarar, Lord Bhairava (a manifestation of Lord Shiva) and God Saturn are worshipped in the temple.
